COOKEVILLE, TN (WSMV) -
Five men are in trouble with the law for an alleged prank that could have seriously hurt someone.
Police said Stephen Bartlett, Jordan Gramling, Sean McCann, James McCormick and Jordan Staup stood on an overpass and threw objects onto cars traveling on Interstate 40 in Putnam County.
Authorities say the men threw logs, burning pizza boxes and other items onto passing vehicles on Sunday.
A deputy also said he found wires soaking in gas, propane tanks and paint balls the men had planned to use.
Deputies arrested the five on reckless endangerment charges.
