Law enforcement are searching for a suspect who was involved in stealing a pickup truck Tuesday afternoon in Rutherford County.

Smyrna police, Rutherford County sheriff's deputies and Tennessee Highway Patrol troopers chased the truck after it was reported stolen around noon in Smyrna.

The chase lasted about 15 minutes and ended when the driver and a passenger bailed from the truck near the intersection of Old Nashville Highway and Baker Road.

One suspect was caught after a brief foot pursuit, and the other is still on the run.

Police are using K-9 units to assist in the search.

Officials have not released a description of the person for whom police are searching.

A Rutherford County deputy suffered minor injuries while involved in a crash with the suspects.
