Alabama head football coach Nick Saban says his team had the right attitude in respecting Ole Miss. During his postgame news conference, Saban stated that he felt many underestimated the Rebels prowess.

"I don't think the people probably give Ole Miss enough credit. They played very well," said Saban. "They played very hard. They played physical. Complete turnaround. Their offense was difficult to defend with the no-huddle situation and the perimeter speed that they have."

The coach noted that he knew that Ole Miss would be a difficult game before going on to what his team needed to work on. He mentioned field goals and the performance in the red zone as top priorities to work on along with the overall passing games. Though, Saban had to mention freshman wide receiver Amari Cooper, who had a remarkable night with two touchdown catches in the second quarter, as something of a bright spot.

"We had high hopes that Amari Cooper would one day find himself and do things like he does in practice all the time in the game," said Saban.

The Crimson Tide goes on to rest up during a bye week before facing Missouri on the road on October 13.
