Due to the NHL strike, the Predators won't be taking to the ice anytime soon, but that isn't stopping the team from having some fun downtown this weekend.
The club is hosting a public skate, blood drive and movie party at Bridgestone Arena on Saturday.
The fun starts at 1 p.m. with a Junior Predators game against the Chicago Blues. Then, from 4 to 8 p.m. a Red Cross blood drive will be held at the Bridgestone Arena concourse.
The open skate for fans will be held on the arena ice from 3 to 5 p.m.
Finally, the Disney movie "Miracle" will air from 5 to 7 p.m. on the arena Megatron. Enjoy free popcorn and soda as well as visits from the team's mascot, Gnash, and the Nashville Predators dancers and ice girls.
