NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -
A mother faces child endangerment and drug charges after officers say they found several grams of cocaine, including some that was stored in a child's lunchbox.
Briana Kristine Wilkins, 20, was arrested Tuesday afternoon after police responded to a burglary call on Capital Point, west of downtown Nashville.
Officers found the back door kicked in and entered the home to check it, according to a Davidson County affidavit. The offers say they found kitchen cabinets open and saw several digital scales and traces of white residue.
The officers got a search warrant and found two baggies in a "Cars" lunchbox. The powder inside tested positive for cocaine base, according to the affidavit.
Officers say Wilkins admitted she knew crack cocaine was being cooked in the apartment around her 1-year-old child.
