BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (AP) - A south-central Kentucky school is celebrating some good news. It is ranked the best high school in the country by a national news magazine.
The Carol Martin Gatton Academy of Mathematics and Science in Kentucky is holding a reception Monday to celebrate the rankings in Newsweek's "America's Best High Schools 2012," released in May.
Gov. Steve Beshear is scheduled to speak at the reception, which is open to the public from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. CDT in Florence Schneider Hall on Western Kentucky University's campus in Bowling Green. Beshear is scheduled to speak at 3:45 p.m., and students will give tours of the school.
