CLARKSVILLE, TN (WSMV) -
A Clarksville mother was charged with aggravated child abuse after her unattended 1-year-old son shot himself in the hand.
According to Officer Jim Knoll, Deshana Lisenbee, 24, was arrested around 7 p.m. Saturday, a few hours after the child was wounded.
Knoll said the gun was left on the coffee table in Lisenbee's apartment on Terminal Road.
The child was rushed to Gateway Medical Center for treatment, however police said his wound was not life threatening.
Lisenbee has since posted $5,000 bond.
