Nashville police said they have arrested a man accused in the violent attack of a store clerk.
Vincent Carter is accused of walking into a Phillips 66 late Thursday night, pulling out a tire iron and striking the clerk in the face.
Police said Carter escaped with a stack of $20 bills, but dropped his phone, which had his contact information on it.
Officers showed up at his house and he was later identified by the clerk as the suspected thief.
Carter is charged with aggravated robbery and aggravated assault.
