Former Belmont baseball coach Dave Whitten dies

NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

Former Belmont head baseball coach Dave Whitten has died.

Whitten spent 29 years as coach when the team was known as the Rebels and recorded 655 wins.

Whitten is also a member of the Tennessee Baseball Coaches Hall of Fame.

No other information has been released on Whitten's death.
