NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -
A young girl was killed Thursday night after falling out of her father's truck and then getting run over.
According to police, the child's father, Brad Henn, was driving on Aaronwood Drive in Hermitage in his pickup truck when he stopped to offer two boys from the neighborhood a ride home.
London Henn, who is 21 months old, recognized the boys and freed herself from the child seat and climbed into the front seat.
As the children opened the door, London Henn began to fall out. Brad Henn leaned over to grab London when he accidentally hit the gas pedal, causing the truck to lurch forward.
The child was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, but died from her injuries. Brad Henn was transported to a local hospital for care.
