Police destroy $30K worth of drugs

MOUNT PLEASANT, TN (WSMV) -

Mt. Pleasant police burned more than $30,000 worth of drugs Tuesday.

According to The Daily Herald in Columbia, our news partner, the drugs were a mix of marijuana, cocaine, meth and prescription pills.

Some of the seized narcotics had been held by police since 2009, but the cases involving them had to clear the court system before being destroyed.
