MAMMOTH CAVE, Ky. (AP) - Bicycle riders now have four designated trails in Mammoth Cave National Park.
A final rule that establishes a special regulation for bike use was printed Wednesday in the Federal Register. It can be found at https://federalregister.gov/a/2012-22438 .
The park says the regulation addresses public interest and demand for biking opportunities.
The regulation allows bike use on a new Connector Trail in the Maple Springs area, a new Big Hollow Trail in the hilly country of the park north of the Green River, the Mammoth Cave Railroad Bike & Hike Trail and the White Oak Trail.
It takes effect Oct. 12.
