HENDERSONVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

A Hendersonville couple has been arrested after police said they left their toddler home alone while one parent was playing kickball and the other was allegedly driving drunk.

Police said Camille Meadows, 34, was stopped Monday at about 9:30 p.m. on suspicion of driving under the influence. While officers were speaking with her, they discovered Meadows' 14-month-old child was home alone.

James Meadows, 48, arrived home after 11 p.m. and said he had left the child alone at about 9 p.m. to go play a kickball game, thinking his wife would be home soon after.

James Meadows is charged with child neglect, and Camille Meadows is charged with second offense DUI and violation of implied consent.

Anyone with information on this case or any others is asked to call Hendersonville Crime Stoppers at 615-573-5400.
