FRANKLIN, TN (WSMV) -
Police in Franklin are asking for the public's help to identify a man accused of holding up a gas station on Franklin Road.
According to investigators, the suspected robber went into the Mapco at 240 Franklin Rd. on Aug. 26.
Police said the man reached over the counter and tried to grab cash from the register while the clerk conducted a transaction.
When the clerk attempted to stop him, police said the man claimed to have a weapon and then fled with the money.
If you have any information or know who the suspect is, police said Crime Stoppers will pay up to $1,000 for information leading to the identification of the suspected robber. You can reach the tip line at 615-794-4000.
