NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

Officials have identified the man police said was struck and killed by a hit-and-run driver early Monday alongside Harding Place.

Marc Pullo III, 35, was found dead by a passerby around 10 a.m. on the side of Harding Place near Tampa Drive.

Pullo had left his residence at the Executive Inn on Harding Place around 11:30 p.m. Sunday to walk to Walmart on Nolensville Pike, police said. Sometime after he left the store, he was walking east on Harding Place on the south side of the roadway when he was struck by an eastbound vehicle.

Pullo was thrown over a guardrail and down an embankment into a wooded area near the road, according to investigators.

Police said the suspected vehicle is likely red or brown in color and may have damage to the right front and passenger side.

Anyone with information about the hit-and-run vehicle or its driver is urged to contact police at 862-7738 or Crime Stoppers at 74-CRIME.
