NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -
Dozens of walkers laced up their shoes Saturday and took to Bicentennial Mall to raise awareness of autism.
For the fifth year, the Autism Speaks walk was held and a big crowd turned out despite iffy weather.
There was plenty to keep people busy once they were done with the walk.
"Music in the front with people dancing," said walker Tamara Wagner. "We have a resource fair with different various resources for the families, newly diagnosed families, into the autism community."
All the money raised goes to Autism Speaks in Middle Tennessee.
It's estimated 1 in 88 children are diagnosed with autism.
