Inspection finds problems at Putnam jail

COOKEVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

There are new troubles for the Putnam County Jail.

The Cookeville Herald-Citizen reported an annual state inspection found numerous deficiencies, including broken showers, lights being out and leaking water.

The jail has 60 days to fix the problems.

Last year's inspection also turned up trouble that almost forced the jail to be decertified.
