Fatal shooting in Christian County

A shooting early Sunday morning has claimed the life of a Christian County man.

CHRISTIAN COUNTY, KY (WSMV) -

A shooting early Sunday morning has claimed the life of a Christian County man.

The Christian County Sheriff's Department reports that Joey Allen Weatherwax, 30, was found dead near 7875 Old Palmyra Rd.

Authorities say Weatherwax suffered a gunshot wound to the upper body. He also appeared to have injuries consistent with being struck by an automobile.

Authorities have arrested Micah Holland, 29. He is being held on a $ 1 million cash bond.

Weatherwax's death is still being investigated.
