Fairgrounds speedway racing canceled due to weather

NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

The Fairgrounds Speedway Nashville racing event for Saturday has been canceled due to inclement weather in the morning and the timing of getting the track in race condition.

Announcement of a make-up date for the race and special events will be publicized in coming weeks, according to officials.

The historic Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway is the second oldest operating motor speedway in the United States.
