Metro Police are pursuing leads in the search for the persons responsible for fatally shooting Dennis Prutianov in his home in Antioch early Saturday.
Several shots were fired at Prutianov's house on Moss Road at about 1:45 a.m., police said.
A witness saw at least 2 people in the area at the time, as well as a dark blue or black Toyota Camry or similar type vehicle.
A neighbor, William Arnold, said he and his brother rushed to give first aid to Prutianov, "He was bent over and he wasn't responding to us," Arnold said. "It was very frightening. There wasn't much we could do. So much speculation goes through your mind."
Neighbors said the victim had an argument with a friend a few hours prior to the shooting.
Detectives spent several hours interviewing people whole live nearby.
A drug motive has not been ruled out, police said.
Prutianov was convicted of two felony cocaine counts and one felony marijuana charge in August 2010, police said. He received two 3-year probated sentences for the cocaine offenses and a one-year probated sentence for the marijuana conviction.
Anyone with information on the persons responsible for the murder of Prutianov is urged to contact lead Detective Chad High at 615-862-7681 or Crime Stoppers at 74-CRIME.
