TBI agent request reduction in pay and rank

Posted: Updated:
MURFREESBORO, TN (WSMV) -

A former Tennessee Bureau of Investigation agent asked that his rank and pay be reduced for his behavior during a traffic stop in Murfreesboro.

Lindsay Malcom told our partners at the Daily News Journal back in June, an officer pulled her over and started cursing at her.

He was apparently upset she didn't let him merge into her lane.

The officer was later identified as Dale Armour.

The TBI performed an internal investigation, and though officials would not tell the paper exactly what that investigation found.

Under the Public Records Act the paper was able to uncover a letter that Armour wrote to his supervisors requesting his rank be reduced.
