MURFREESBORO, TN (WSMV) -
Two Murfreesboro police officers have been disciplined for what happened on and off the job.
Officer Albert Miles was suspended for a day because of how he handled a missing child with a developmental disability.
According to records obtained by our partners at the Daily News Journal, Miles reported the case as a runaway, rather than an endangered person.
Detective Bryant Mitchell was recently reprimanded for getting two rent-free apartments for working as a courtesy officer.
Mitchell let his mother live in one of the units, but didn't tell supervisors about the arrangement.
