NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -
Nashville Electric Service says a new scam is targeting its customers and involves people claiming to be NES employees who ask for personal information.
The scammers tell residents if they do not make an immediate payment, their service will be disconnected.
NES is reminding customers that field employees never accept payments of any kind and never ask for personal information. Officials with the utility company say workers always carry proper identification.
Customers who have concerns about the legitimacy of any call are asked to inform NES Customer Relations at 615-736-6900.
