NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -
Officials have identified the woman who was found dead by a man mowing his grass Wednesday in north Nashville.
Stephanie K. Alexander, 39, who was homeless, was found about 11 a.m. in an alley between Fourth and Fifth avenues North near Buchanan Street.
The man who spotted the body was mowing a vacant lot nearby, police said.
Investigators believe Alexander's body was placed in the alley sometime early Wednesday, and the cause of death appears to have been blunt-force trauma.
Anyone with information on the case is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 74-CRIME.
