Woman injured in I-40 crash

NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

A young woman is in the hospital after a violent rollover wreck in west Nashville overnight.

The crash happened around midnight on Interstate 40 near the Briley Parkway exit.

Police said two young women were in the vehicle when it somehow flipped.

One of the women was rushed to the hospital with serious injuries. Investigators aren't sure if she was the driver or the passenger.

Police think alcohol may have played a factor.
