COOKEVILLE, TN (WSMV) -
A Putnam County mom is facing charges after police said she was intoxicated at a Cookeville school.
School officials at Jere Whitson Elementary school called police Friday after they said Giselda Xum, 31, smelled of alcohol when she came to pick up her child.
However, when officials tried to question her, she drove away from the school.
Police caught up with her and found five empty beer cans in the car along with a young child who wasn't properly fastened in the vehicle.
