CLARKSVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

Nearly two years after flooding forced them to relocate, a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping children thrive in the foster care system has reopened.

Youth Villages opened their new 4,800 square-foot office in Clarksville on Wednesday at Stowe Court near Professional Park Drive.

Officials said their new building was designed with larger, open spaces to create a more welcoming environment.

Youth Villages was founded in 1986 in Memphis but now serves 18,000 children and families in 11 states.
