MANCHESTER, TN (WSMV) -
A church festival in Manchester came to a crashing halt Sunday, sending one woman to the hospital.
Police told the Manchester Times that every year, participants in a festival at St. Mark's Catholic Church climb a utility pole.
But this year, investigators said there was apparently too much weight on the pole and it fell.
Officers said it struck Mary Morales, who was taking photos of the festival.
Morales was rushed to Vanderbilt where she's hospitalized in critical condition.
