Posted: Updated:

Police are looking for a man who made a middle school student feel threatened while she walked to school Thursday morning.

The girl, an eighth-grade student at Cameron Middle, was walking from her home on Trimble Street. She told police a man driving by got out of his car and made her feel uncomfortable.  She took off running and made it home safely.

Police are searching for the man, described as a white, heavyset man who has very short hair or is bald. The man is said to be driving a white two-door Nissan with BO3 as the first three characters on the license plate.

Police believe this man has struck more than once.

Shakeita Harris, the victim's mom, said the same man approached her daughter a few days ago and a neighbor said his wife called him this morning upset because she and her daughters were cat-called by a man matching the same description.

"I just want everybody to be on the lookout for this guy," said Harris. "He doesn't have good intentions. He's after someone's child, anybody's child. Please keep an eye on your kids. He's out here."
