NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

A man found dead late Wednesday night at Edwin Warner Park was the former co-owner of the Loveless Cafe.

A passing motorist saw a Honda Accord in a wooded area on Vaughn Road at about 10:30 p.m.

Police later found George McCabe, 51, inside the vehicle.  Investigators said McCabe was traveling eastbound on Vaughn Road when, for unknown reasons, the vehicle traveled off the roadway and collided with several small trees before stopping in a ditch.

The car was hidden from view and may have been there for several days.

McCabe was not wearing a seat belt.

The Medical Examiner will perform an autopsy to determine whether a medical issue may have contributed to McCabe's death. There was no evidence of alcohol involvement at the scene.
