How will Isaac's remnants affect Tennessee?

Posted: Updated:
NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

As the remnants of Hurricane Isaac continue to move north, some of the outer bands reached Middle Tennessee on Thursday.

There is a 50 percent chance of rain through Sunday, according to the 4WARN weather team.  Scattered showers will continue on Labor Day.

Since the main remnants of Isaac are expected to hit Arkansas, the best chances of rain will be west of Nashville.

There is a low threat of severe weather and flooding in Middle Tennessee from the storms.

The Natchez Trace Parkway in Mississippi was closed Thursday night from milepost 0 to milepost 146.

Several downed trees, combined with the continued threat of heavy rains and winds from Isaac, have temporarily shut down that stretch of the parkway.  Officials said they are working to reopen the road soon.
