New community center to open in Joelton Park

NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

Joelton families will soon have a new place to relax.

Mayor Karl Dean and Metro Parks broke ground today for a new community center and park on Morgan Road.

The $2.3 million project will include a community center with a gymnasium, meeting room, kitchen and fitness area.

The park will gain a walking trail, basketball court and upgraded sports fields.
