NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -
The school day got off to a very scary start for a lot of Metro students Thursday when an SUV crashed into their bus.
The wreck, which was reported just before 7 a.m. at South Graycroft and Due West avenues, sent three students and a pregnant bus driver to the hospital.
The bus was headed to Maplewood High School when the wreck occurred.
"It looked like it was pretty bad," said neighbor Loretta Matthews. "The first thing you think is, 'anybody hurt?' And then you start thinking, 'how are my children?'"
The school notified parents of the passengers, and the students who were unharmed were transferred onto another bus to continue their way to school.
Those who were hurt had minor injuries, and it's unclear what caused the SUV to collide with the bus.
