Gaylord Opryland looking to fill 400 positions

NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

In preparation for its busy holiday season, Gaylord Resort & Convention Center will soon hire for 400 open positions.

The various positions needed across the resort include food and beverage runners and servers, bell attendants, tour bus greeters, special event attendants, costumed characters, character escorts and more.

"A Country Christmas is an exciting time for Gaylord Opryland. We get to welcome about 1 million visitors to the hotel over the course of six weeks, which translates into seasonal jobs for Middle Tennessee," said Teresa Dileo, vice president of human resources for Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center. "Our Recruiters are hard at work finding the best candidates to join our team, and we encourage those looking to make extra money for the holidays to consider applying."

This year marks the 29th annual event, which includes "ICE! featuring DreamWorks' Shrek the Halls," "The Radio City Christmas Spectacular starring the world-famous Rockettes", "Lorrie Morgan's Enchanted Christmas Dinner & Show," horse-drawn carriage rides and more.

With more than 2 million twinkling lights, acres of stunning decorations and festive entertainment that attracts visitors from all over the world, A Country Christmas at Gaylord Opryland has been hailed as one of the "Ten Great Places to Catch up with Santa" by USA Today; "The Most Christmassy Hotel in the Nation" by the Travel Channel's Extreme Christmas; one of the top 10 places to spend Christmas in the world by Travel + Leisure and a "Nashville treasure" by Southern Living.
