Madison police standoff ends in arrest

NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

An overnight standoff ended peacefully overnight in Madison.

The incident started when a man barricaded himself inside a home on Dickerson Road around 2:30 a.m. and refused to come out.

Authorities said it all started as some sort of domestic situation. Metro police finally took the man, identified as Joseph Wilson, 25, into custody around 4 a.m.

Police said he didn't want to come to the door because he knew he would be arrested.

Wilson is charged with domestic violence.
