NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

Drivers can expect heavy traffic around downtown Thursday evening due to the sold-out Titans game versus the Arizona Cardinals that begins at 7 p.m.

Metro police plan to implement a traffic plan beginning at 4:30 p.m. Thursday, including closing the Woodland Street bridge to vehicle traffic.

Pedestrians will be able to cross the Cumberland River via the Woodland Street bridge as well as the Shelby Street pedestrian bridge in order to access LP Field.

Parking lots will open to vehicles with parking passes at 3 p.m. and the stadium gates open at 5 p.m.

Fans traveling downtown for the game and who normally park in state employee lots on game days will not have access to those lots Thursday until 5 p.m., when they are vacated by state workers.

And fans without parking passes are encouraged to park downtown, then ride an InShuttle Transportation shuttle bus. Shuttles will travel from state parking areas at 10th and Charlotte and 4th and Harrison beginning at 5:30 p.m.
