One person was killed after a crash on Interstate 24 West in Coffee County on Tuesday afternoon, according to the Tennessee Highway Patrol.
The crash occurred at about 12:30 p.m. near exit 117, Aedc Road.
A Nissan driven by Wendell Reed, 62, of Beechgrove, TN, was traveling westbound on I-24 when for some reason he went off the left side of the roadway, overcorrected and came back onto the Interstate, said THP report.
Reed's vehicle crossed both lanes of traffic, ran off the roadway into the median and rolled several times.
Reed died at the scene and a passenger, William Dewolfe of Manchester, TN, 57, was injured.
