NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -
Titans fans are in for some new amenities during home games this season at LP Field. The team unveiled some features Monday that officials hope will improve the gameday experience for fans.
More than $25 million went into installing a gigantic video board behind each end zone, digital ribbon boards along the sidelines and a stage that will feature live music.
"Certainly, putting a state-of-the-art stage here in the north end zone was something we wanted to do, knowing that our mission with all of these enhancements was to enhance the fans' experience on gameday at LP Field," said Titans Vice President Don McLachlan.
The stage was a longtime dream come true for Titans owner Bud Adams, and country star Phil Vassar will be headlining each home game this season, along with several special guests.
"We will be doing a lot of different genres - not just my songs, but I'll throw some of mine in there," Vassar said.
Much of the funding for the upgrades was paid for by a $2 ticket tax. The Titans first home preseason game is Thursday versus the Arizona Cardinals.
The first home regular season game is Sept. 9 versus the New England Patriots.
