Man shot in apparent robbery in East Nashville

NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

Metro police are investigating a shooting after an apparent robbery Monday evening in East Nashville.

The shooting was reported around 6:15 p.m. at the Riverchase Apartments on North Second Street. Police said the victim, whose identity has not been released, was shot in the torso then transported to an area hospital in critical condition.

No other information has been released, including a description of any possible suspects.

Police ask anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 74-CRIME.
