Pinewood Elementary to be used for fire hall

The vacated Pinewood Elementary School property now has a new purpose.

Closed for good in May 2011, the longtime elementary school will be the location of a rural fire hall for Williamson County.

The county school board approved the move at a meeting this week. The school will be used as storage, but part of the land will house the new fire hall.
