75-year-old accused of stealing from boss since 1988 - WSMV Channel 4

A 75-year-old Lebanon woman is accused of stealing tens of thousands of dollars from the doctor she worked for for nearly 25 years. And, her boss believes it's been going on for decades.
According to the police report obtained by Channel 4, a Lebanon doctor believes his office manager, Nancy O'Connell, embezzled more than $150,000 from him over a 24-year span.
The doctor noticed money was missing from a deposit O'Connell reportedly made back in January. Police say when the doctor confronted O'Connell about it, she confessed.
After taking a closer look at the books, it was discovered nearly $25,000 was missing from the doctor's practice and investment properties just since 2006. O'Connell was arrested and charged with felony theft.
We called O'Connell for comment about this story but she did not return our call. She will head to court next month to answer to the theft charge.
