Motorcyclist dies week after Murfreesboro crash

MURFREESBORO, TN (WSMV) -

A motorcyclist has died after crashing into a pickup in Murfreesboro last week.

Vanderbilt Medical Center confirmed that Brian Stout, 22, died late Monday night after being hospitalized almost a week.

Stout was riding his motorcycle when Murfreesboro police said a 2007 Nissan Frontier pulled out of a Shell gas station into his lane.

Investigators said the failure to yield the right of way, and excessive speed both played a part in the fatality.
