NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -
A driver crashed into a house Tuesday afternoon on 23rd Avenue North, according to police.
Witnesses told police James Whitson was doing donuts in his Dodge Durango when he sped out of control, hit some utility poles and trees before slamming into the house.
No one was in the home at the time, and the house was scheduled to go up for auction Wednesday.
Whitson was transported to Vanderbilt Medical Center, but police said his injuries were not life-threatening.
Charges against Whitson are pending once he's released from the hospital.
