NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -
Country music legend George Jones has announced his farewell tour, appropriately named after one of his many hits: The Grand Tour.
The Possum's publicist said Tuesday that, after more than 50 years of touring, next year's tour will be Jones' last.
The country legend wants to slow down and spend more time with his wife, children and grandchildren. And even though he'll stop touring after next year, Jones will still be making music.
He plans to record a new studio album, and Dolly Parton has been writing some songs for him.
While dates for The Grand Tour have not been announced, Jones is on the road now.
