SMYRNA, TN (WSMV) -
A man wanted in connection with a stabbing over the weekend in Rutherford County is now in custody.
Eli Collier, 50, was arrested Tuesday morning in La Vergne after police said he stabbed Bryan Effler at a home on Moore Avenue on Saturday night.
The victim was airlifted to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where he remains hospitalized.
Smyrna police had asked for the public's assistance in locating Collier.
Investigators have not commented on a motive.
