Putnam woman accused of DUI with 3-year-old in back seat

COOKEVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

A Putnam County woman is accused of driving drunk with a 3-year-old child in the back seat.

Cookeville officers say Nicole Thomsen was swerving and almost hit a patrol car last week.

As an officer walked up to the car, investigators say Thomsen put the car in reverse and the officer had to reach into the car and turn off the engine.

The child was placed in the care of relatives and Thomsen was released on bond.
