Cabana Chef Chase Ingalls’ Banana Pudding

6 cups milk

9 egg yolks

2 ½ cups sugar

¾ cup flour

½ t. salt

1 T vanilla extract

9 ripe bananas, sliced (can soak in orange or pineapple juice to keep from turning brown)

1 box vanilla wafers

Mix together milk, egg, sugar, flour, salt and vanilla, and simmer until thickened, stirring constantly to avoid burning. Layer with bananas and cookies – cookies first, then pudding, then bananas. Chill at least 4 hours or overnight. Garnish with whipped cream and strawberries.
