Officer involved in deadly shooting

BOWLING GREEN, KY (WSMV) -

A police officer in Bowling Green, Kentucky was placed on administrative leave after a deadly shooting early Sunday.

According to Kentucky State Police, the shooting happened at about 2 a.m. in the 1100 block of Clay Street.

Investigators did not immediately release the name of the officer or the deceased. Trooper Jonathan Biven said the deceased individual was male.

Kentucky State Police plan to release more information later this morning.
