Shop local to support schools

GALLATIN, TN (WSMV) -

Kids in Sumner County aren't in school yet because of the budget, but that didn't stop the crowd that came out at Gallatin High School.

Saturday was the first annual "Shop Local and Support Our Schools" event. It is a fundraiser to help Sumner County schools.

Tony Milliken, the founder of Think My Town, said, "We've got about 50 here represented, that want to show their support. They are giving a part of the proceeds back to the schools. They are behind furthering education by shopping local."

If you donate $10, then you get a Support Our Schools bumper sticker and shopping bag, and if you donate $25 or more, you get a T-shirt.
