The Humphreys County grand jury has indicted a woman for her role in her brother's death.

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation arrested Sarah Redmond of Waverly on Wednesday.

Her brother, 40-year-old Herbert Carl Redmond, died on Oct. 18.

Sarah was Herbert's primary caregiver for three years before his death. He was a quadriplegic who could not care for himself.

According to the TBI, she administered his medications and did not follow dosage instructions, which led to his death.

The medical examiner determined Herbert's cause of death as acute combined drug toxicity.

Redmond is charged with criminally negligent homicide.
